Throughout Bertram's career as a master engraver, most of his artwork has embellished custom firearms. Upon moving to the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area he has taken the art knife world by storm. His work is now on a myriad of knives by ABS, guild, and semi custom knives.
At the 2023 Blade show in Atlanta, one of his engraved knives won the "Best Dressed Fighter" award. This was a sub-hilt big bear fighter by Gary Langley.
In addition the Randall Knife collectors have flocked to Bertram for his unique artwork.
